The director of the Distance Education Application and Research Center plans activities in coordination with the members of the board of directors and administrative staff in line with the establishment purpose of the center and carries out the implementation process. At the same time, it organizes planning, execution and supervision activities for the healthy execution of synchronous and asynchronous online and distance education activities within the institution.
DUTIES, AUTHORIZATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Sets the agenda of the Board of Directors and implements its decisions,
• Plans and conducts activities in accordance with the objectives of the Center,
• Ensures the coordination of the programs and activities related to the center implemented in faculties, institutes, colleges, vocational schools, other application and research centers, offices and departments under the rectorate,
• Carries out its activities in accordance with the strategies and policies determined by the Board of Directors,
• Submits the appropriation and staffing needs of the Center, together with its justification, to the senior management by obtaining the opinion of the Board of Directors,
• In relation to the fields of activity of the Center, conducts national and international interviews, prepares or has projects prepared and makes project proposals,
• Submits the activity report to be prepared at the end of each year for the approval of the Board of Directors and reports to the Rectorate about the activities of the center.
The director of the Distance Education Application and Research Center is responsible for ensuring that the financial accounts comply with the legislation laws. In addition, he/she is also responsible for ensuring and maintaining Occupational Health and Safety requirements in the working environment and ensuring that the devices and equipment used in the unit are in working condition.
